Introduction

First Person on Scene Intermediate training is designed to advance the first aider towards achieving the First Person On Scene Intermediate Certificate. Throughout the training individuals will be taught the skills associated with rapid assessment, stabilisation and transfer of both the trauma victim and those suffering a medical emergency.

This course will develop individuals foundation knowledge, enabling them to work individually or as part of a team in a variety of situations and locations throughout the world.

The Instructors have experience with backgrounds including; military medics, civilian paramedics, Close Protection Operators; with current operational experience.

Course syllabus

The course will run over 4 days and will include the following lessons:

The pre hospital environment
Patient assessment
Respiration and airway management
Basic life support
De-fibrillation
Circulation and shock
Medical related emergencies

The FPOS-I module will conclude with an exam and successful candidates will be awarded with an Edexcel, FPOS-I certificate which will follow 4 to 6 weeks after the course
