Our five day STCW 95 Basic Safety Training package provides the practical skills and knowledge to comply with the mandatory requirements of the four modules of STCW 95 Basic Training. These are Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-VI / 1-1) Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI / 1-2) Elementary First Aid (STCW A-VI/ 1-3) Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (SCTW A- VI/1 – 4) Sea survival theory sessions are taught in the dedicated Red Ensign classrooms. The course also comprises a supervised compulsory liferaft launch, inversion and entry as well as individual and group based survival activities in a secured area in the tidal waters. Fire fighting uses real smoke, fire and breathing apparatus along with fire hoses and extinguishers in our purpose built fire fighting training facility.
