Description:

Our Medicine in Remote Areas or MIRA course has been designed for anyone working in the Close Protection industry, Expedition Medics, members of the Emergency Services or anyone employed in a high risk environment where effective medical assistance cannot be relied upon and may be some time and distance away. Building on expertise gained from the First person on Scene course, MIRA introduces advanced medical skills above and beyond what other First Aid courses cover and deals with medical emergencies where there is no realistic prospect of immediate aid from the Emergency Services. The Medicine in Remote Areas course is designed to be practical and hands on. It will be delivered by ex-Military and serving Emergency Service personnel who also have backgrounds in Remote Medical cover. If you work oversees in areas of conflict or if you work some distance from medical aid, the MIRA course is ideal. Similarly if you work offshore our Medicine in Remote Areas course will introduce you to skills that may prove invaluable.
