PGI Training's Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support is one of the leading educational programmes for pre-hospital emergency trauma care. This 2 day course is a comprehensive and advanced intensive experience aimed at pre-hospital medics, doctors, nurses and military medics. Students are expected to have a good level of medical knowledge prior to the course and to have read the manual before attending.
This course is run by individuals with invaluable pre-hospital experience both in the UK and in remote and austere environments. Our faculty is made of a mixture of medical experts which include paramedics, Dr's, anesthetists and nurses. We operate jointly with Nottingham University hospital.
This course emphasizes scene assessment, history and physical examinations to systematically rule out life-threatening situations. Lessons will include interactive skills stations, lectures and an MCQ examination.
Through an assessment-based approach, students gain deeper knowledge and are exposed to new skills that are transferable to real life situations.
You will receive priceless training by instructors with a wealth of experience in pre-hospital trauma. The course is endorsed by the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK, and governed by the National Association of EMT's in the USA.
Upon completion of the course you will be awarded with a certification that lasts for four years.
