Qualification: City & Guilds level 3 MSO qualification
Maritime Security Operators play a pivotal role in the maritime counter piracy and terrorism industry, and as such play an important part in the protection of International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) certified vessels.
In January 2013, SCEG asked City & Guilds to develop an MSO qualification based on the competencies in the new international standard for Private Maritime Security Companies (PMSCs)
As of June 2013, this qualification was formally released to which we were amongst the first to deliver.
The driving focus behind the delivery of this course, is to educate those who wish to enter the maritime security sector with no or little prior experience. On completion, students will be equipped with the knowledge and confidence to move forward into teams and become employable within the industry.
Each MSO instructor holds a wealth of experience in both maritime security and teaching and mentoring to individuals and groups. We assure you that each instructor is credible, up to date and is thoroughly experienced. In doing this, we ensure that students receive the most up to date advice and knowledge available. This, in turn, ensures individuals are fully equipped to carry out their job role to the best of their ability.
