Our 2 or 3 Day Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) courses are designed to prepare those who will be travelling to or living in hazardous and remote environments.
This innovative training course combines classroom based theory with relevant practical scenarios.

2 Day Syllabus:

  • Global threats and recent incidents
  • Cultural and situational awareness
  • International travel and journey management
  • Residence and hotel security
  • Personal protective and emergency equipment
  • Working alongside Close Protection Officers
  • Use of local guides and drivers
  • Navigation and the use of global positioning systems (GPS)
  • Vehicle security and car jacking
  • Weapons recognition and ballistic effects
  • Reaction to mortar and rocket attack
  • Improvised explosive devices (IED)
  • Mine Awareness and Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) recognition
  • Kidnap and ransom awareness
  • basic life support medical training
  • Practical scenario training

In addition to the 2 day course, we also deliver a 3 day course with additional modules

3 Day Syllabus:

  • HET Driver Training Module
    • Defensive Driving
    • Off-Road Driving and Self Recovery
  • Emergency First Aid at Work( EFAW) Medical Training
    • Primary and Secondary survey ( including CPR)
    • Catastrophic Hemorrhage
    • Cause of Unconsciousness
    • Extremity Injuries

On completion of either course, delegates will be able to recognise and avoid potential threats enabling them to operate effectively in challenging situations.

Our training team is made up of predominantly former UK Special Forces personnel who bring with them a mix of operational expertise and professional teaching qualifications to the design and deliver of our courses.
