Qualification: HABC Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry (QCF)

Description:

This qualification is completed over 5 days in line with the most recent framework update. It is divided into 4 units and is assessed through 3 multiple-choice examinations, a theoretical assessment and a practical assessment.


The units are as follows:


Unit 1: Working in the Private Security Industry
Assessed by a 40 minute, 25 question multiple-choice examination.
Candidates must achieve a score of at least 18 out of 25 to pass this unit.

Unit 2: Working as a Door Supervisor
Assessed by a 1 hour, 40 question multiple-choice examination.
Candidates must achieve a score of at least 28 out of 40 to pass this unit.

Unit 3: Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry
Assessed by a 40 minute, 25 question multiple-choice examination.
Candidates must achieve a score of at least 18 out of 25 to pass this unit.

Unit 4: Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry
Assessed in two parts. Part one is a practical assessment and part two is a theoretical assessment set by HABC.

This accredited qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to work as a Door Supervisor, as it provides the necessary skills and knowledge to apply for an SIA licence to work as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry.

Subjects covered include behavioural standards, legislation relevant to the role, search procedures, powers of arrest, recording incidents and crime preservation, reducing risk, conflict management and communicating effectively.
