Like everyone looking to do a close protection course I did my research. I didn't choose Wilplan because it was the cheapest or because it had the most bells and whistles, there was no hostage negotiation or getting shot with a taser.
But what it did have was tutors that have nearly two decades of experience with close protection that were happy to pass on their knowledge, accurately disseminating information in a professional manner.
I chose to do the ASAA firearms course within the Close Protection course in Switzerland I myself found it difficult however Gary that taught the course made time to help and made me feel at ease.
It's certainly not target shooting and it's most probably not what you have been taught within the military.
But the training you receive if you're unfortunate enough to have to use it in real life might very well save your life.
All throughout the course all the tutors were helpful and catered for individual needs and made subjects that could be very much death by power point interesting.
Again, Wilpan don't say they will get you a job at the end of the course but what they actually do is give you the real world skills for you to be able to find a job on your own two feet through help with your curriculum vitae.
I have myself received help after the course, it's not just words, Wilplan want you to go on to succeed. Don't take my word for it go on an open day !! Just real world skills and tutors that want to help and want you to go on to succeed!! Well done Wilplan.
