AEGIS Part 2 Programme by Door Supervisor Training Organisation (DSTO)

After participating in the mandatory Physical intervention modules I was always aware that perhaps it didnt give the level of training that would be needed in my job role. I was also aware that whilst I was training on a yearly basis others were not and that made for a mish mash of different techniques where staff would often accidentally injure each other on the process. Part 2 of the AEGIS Programme builds on the learning in the Part 1 course and teaches a range of incrementally more robust and restrictive interventions including the use of Emergency Restraint Belts. Effective particularly when the whole team is trained to the same level it reduces the risk of being accused of assault or injuries as well as keeping yourself and your team safe.
