Designated Defense Marksman by Academi

I took this course as a requirement for a contract I work on. I am not being paid or receiving any benefit for writing this review.

Weaknesses:

1. This isn't exactly a weakness, but I'm not sure if this EXACT course is open to the general public, but very similar and perhaps better (read: more comprehensive) courses are offered by the same company. Check the website or call the company and ask about their sniper or DDM courses.

Strengths

1. Instruction was excellent, and the instructors had various backgrounds including U.S.M.C. and N.S.W., you students learn diffent wants to approch problems.

2. You will shoot A LOT during this course. If you're an OK sniper or DDM, you will leave a better one. You will shoot out to the 1200 yard line, fire from irregulr position, and shoot various weapon systems.

3. Rifles and optics were provided. Food is on site and isn't bad.

I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to imrpove his marksmanship skills and has a few weeks to shoot a lot of rounds on paper and steel.
