As a service leaver after 14 years in the army i chose to do the pheonix g4s course as i had already heard good reviews about the course through former colleagues that had previously done the course themselves. Leading upto the course i was well informed of the payment process, joining instructions and timings by the helpful admin staff. On arrival i was greeted by a friendly girl named jen and shown to my room which was to be more than comfortable for the duration of my stay. I started the first 4 days of the course doing my FPOS(first person on scene) medics course. Having done numerous medic courses before deploying on tours i was already at quite a good standard compared to others, but the course helped with any skill fade and covered many non military aspects i hadnt done before. The close protection course itself was a whole new ball game for me and was something i found highly interesting and enjoyed the course through out. The instructors are highly experienced in the close protection world and have previosuly served in the special forces so you know you are being taught by the best. There was a good mix of presentations in the classroom as well as going out on the ground and practising the skills you had been taught finishing off with a really enjoyable final exercise. i would recommend this course to anyone else who is thinking of getting into the world of close protection wether it be at home or in a hostile enviroment.
