I’m a self-employed maritime security team leader/member and have been since November 2008. I have made a high number of trips (70+), through the Gulf of Aden, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. I have completed risk assessments and vessel defence on numerous different vessels. I have carried out both armed and unarmed transits.
I have held a project team leaders position of a close protection team in a hazardous location for 4 years. During this time I have had to ensure the safety of my clients, property and my team. I have been involved in a number of incidents whilst working there and I have been told, by my peers that I think clearly, work professionally and continue to provide a safe environment for my clients, whilst dealing with a given problem.
I have worked in West Africa on close protection tasks.
I have carried out a number of years as a surveillance operative with UK companies such as Brays Detective Agency, The Surveillance Group, Vincent Sherman Associates and Kirk International.
I hold a Medic in Remote areas qualification, run by ExMed (first aid training provider), of Hereford. So I have a deeper knowledge of first aid, with the ability to carry out small operations, trauma care and prolonged life support. I have used the knowledge gained from this and pasted courses a number of time both on deployment and at home. This course is overseen by the Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
I also hold a UK SIA Close Protection license.
